Discover a side of Vienna that goes beyond its imperial splendor. Join our walking tour to delve deep into the city's history and uncover the forgotten lives of the monarchy's common people. While the rich and powerful enjoyed comfort along Ring Street, just nearby, slums emerged where people struggled to survive in primitive housing.
Some attempted to make an honest living, while others turned to criminality. Vienna was teeming with gangs, robbers, and thieves, but we’ll also explore the lives of those who had no choice but to live underground.
This tour includes a visit to a hidden museum and a rare glimpse of the last remnants of the Ratzenstadl slum in Mariahilf. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see a different side of Vienna’s history.
